Traveling With Baby, Sort of…

Paris while pregnant.  Not expected, but we had a blast.

July 31, 2017

We were fortunate enough to take a trip to France in June. This was already planned before I found out I was pregnant. With most of the morning sickness fading away, I was excited for an adventure with my husband before the baby arrived. I did keep ginger chews and lots of snacks on me at all times, which were put to good use. My energy level stayed up for most of the trip, but I did find myself having to rest every now and then because we were walking A LOT.

We were lucky the days were super long in Paris so we could sleep in and still have a full 10-12 hours of daylight. It didn’t get fully dark until about 11pm! I did get very swollen on the overnight flight there, so if you are pregnant and have to travel on a plane, try to stand up and walk around as much as you can. I made sure to do that on the flight home and didn’t have any issues. I was initially nervous to travel so far while pregnant, but the doctor approved and everything worked out fine. It was a really special experience. We made memories we will always cherish.
